Present Continuous
Acciones en progreso ahora mismo
🔄 Present Continuous
El Present Continuous (Presente Continuo) describe acciones que ocurren ahora mismo o en este período de tiempo, y también se usa para hablar de planes futuros ya confirmados.
📋 Estructura
- Afirmativo: Subject + am/is/are + verb-ing
- I am studying now.
- She is watching TV.
- They are playing soccer.
- Negativo: am/is/are + not + verb-ing
- He is not sleeping. (He isn't sleeping)
- Pregunta: Am/Is/Are + subject + verb-ing?
- Are you listening?
✏️ Reglas del -ing
- Verbo normal: study → studying
- Termina en -e muda: write → writing (quita la e)
- CVC corto: run → running (dobla la consonante)
- Termina en -ie: lie → lying (ie → y)
- Signal words: now, right now, at the moment, look!, listen!

El Past Simple (Pasado Simple) se usa para hablar de acciones completadas en un tiempo específico del pasado. Es uno de los tiempos verbales más importantes del inglés.
📋 Verbos regulares (+ed)
- Afirmativo: verb + ed (para todos los sujetos)
- I walked to school yesterday.
- She studied all night.
- Negativo: didn't + verb (infinitivo)
- He didn't watch TV last night.
- Pregunta: Did + subject + verb?
- Did you finish your homework?
